Milestone Reached in Time: Inventux Receives First Production Equipment
Berlin, April 17th 2008
Inventux Technologies AG has just received the first production equipment from its technology partner Oerlikon. With reaching this important milestone, Inventux is still on schedule with its ambitious project.
In a symbolic act of the “tool move-in-ceremony”, Volko Löwenstein and Christopher Smith, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales & Customer Support of Oerlikon Solar, cut a yellow ribbon together in the factory. Besides the Marzahn district council of economy, Christian Gräff, also representatives of capital providers and project partners participated.
Employees of Inventux and Oerlikon will immediately start to install the large-sized coating and laser structuring machines which will be used to produce the novel micromorph thin-film photovoltaic modules in clean room environment.
After successful testing and quality assurance phases, the first solar modules are planned to be delivered just before the end of the year.
“Our management team has long-time professional experience as well as technology and process competence. We will succeed in radically simplifying the production of photovoltaic modules and in reducing the production costs of the modules. Thus, we will be able to sustainably cut costs to make solar power competitive to conventional energy”, stated Volko Löwenstein during the tool move-in.
