Inventux the first company in Europe to start production of highly efficient micromorph thin-film solar modules

Berlin, December 4th 2008

At Inventux’ head office in Berlin Marzahn, Berlin’s Governing Mayor, Klaus Wowereit, and the Executive Board of Inventux Technologies AG took in a joint, symbolic act the first micromorph photovoltaic module from the assembly line. Roughly 250 invited guests from politics and industry, investors and project partners, and managers from the high-tech supplier Oerlikon Solar celebrated together with the Inventux team the official start of production.

Within less than seven months Inventux Technologies AG, Oerlikon and all the other machine and equipment suppliers have succeeded in starting Europe’s first full-scale production run of micromorph photovoltaic thin-film modules. Already during the ramp up phase the team of specialists was able to continuously raise the module performance and to lift it above today’s market standard.
