Inventux announces location for headquarters and production site in Berlin
Berlin, December 7th 2007
It is official now: The new location of the Inventux Technologies AG is going to be located in the North-East of Berlin. Innovative thin film photovoltaic modules will be produced where energy-saving traction technology for rail-vehicles was previously manufactured. Inventux is going to build up the production facility in an existing factory based in the Wolfener Straße in Berlin-Marzahn, which was formerly used by Bombardier Transportation. Corresponding contracts were signed end of November between Bombardier and the Liegenschaftsfond Berlin as the seller, and the Investor and property developer BEOS as buyer for an international investor group. BEOS is going to convert the existing facility considerably and hand it over turnkey to Inventux.
Volko Löwenstein, CEO of Inventux Technologies AG: “We are going to move to Marzahn, because this district and the local infrastructure offer excellent conditions for our high-tech production and the rebuilding of an existing property saves considerable amounts of time and resources. By avoiding the dangers of constructional risks due to the wintertime we are able to pursuit our project within the set time frame.”
